IN THE FLORIDA KEYS NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY
WHO WE ARE
The Shark Lab (Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation) is a registered 501c3 nonprofit research organization dedicated to the Research, Education and Conservation of elasmobranch species.
Our research projects in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary are largely focused on the study of reproduction cycles for a number of shark species; using acoustic and satellite telemetry to understand habitat use, regional connectivity, and large scale movement patterns for highly migratory species; as well as opportunities for early career scientists to get hands on experience in the field of shark research.
